Make a Rulebook

Rule books that renumber themselves.

Write your league's rules once. Move a rule and every number and “see rule 4.2” updates. Comments sit beside each rule, every change is recorded, and your published link always shows the current version.

    3.2 Protest window

Should 30 minutes start from the result or the horn?

Every season, the same Word file.

Somebody inserts a rule at 3.2 and spends an evening fixing every number after it. Reviews arrive by email. The old PDF keeps circulating. Then a player asks what actually changed.

Numbering and links that never break
Sections, sub-sections and rules are structured, not typed. Drag, indent or insert, and every number and cross-reference follows. Choose 1.2.3, 1.1.01, Article 4(b), lettered or Roman.
A list of what changed, written for you
Publish a new version and readers get the rules that were added, removed, moved and reworded, with the exact words highlighted.
Review beside the rule, not in your inbox
Commenters (free and unlimited) discuss a specific rule and suggest new wording. Editors accept a suggestion with one click.
    Every change on the record
Each rule keeps its own history: who changed it, when, and the note explaining why. Restore any earlier wording.
    One link that's always current
Your published rule book lives at one address that always shows the latest version. Published versions are locked, so nobody edits the rules mid-season.
    Every language side by side
Add a translation next to each rule. When the original changes, the translation is flagged out of date.

    “What changed?” answered for you.

Rules keep the same identity from one version to the next, even when they're renumbered. So the summary is exact, and subscribers get it by email the moment you publish.

Already have last year's PDF and this year's Word file? Import both, and the change list is built for you.

Can a coach lodge one if the captain is injured? @sam

Good catch. I've suggested “captain or vice-captain”.

    Discussion lives beside the rule.

Invite your judges, coaches and committee as commenters, as many as you like, at no cost. Their threads, suggestions and the reasons behind each change stay attached to the rule for good.

    Ready for your members’ AI.

Every published rule book has a clean Markdown version an assistant can read. Your team can also connect Claude or any MCP client to read, search, draft, reorder and translate rules, and every change it makes is signed in the history.

    Questions

Can I bring my existing rule book?+

Yes. Upload a PDF, Word document or Markdown file. Numbered rule books (1.2, 1.2.01, Article 4) are split into sections and rules automatically, and you review the structure before anything is saved.

What happens to the published version while we edit the next one?+

Nothing. A published version is locked and stays live. You copy it into a new draft, edit and review that, then publish it when it's ready. The link updates instantly.

Who counts towards the 15 seats?+

Admins and editors, the people who change the wording. Commenters, who read drafts, discuss and suggest changes, are free and unlimited, as are public readers.

Can a rule book be private?+

Yes. Set it to members only and readers must sign in as a member of your organisation.

    What if we stop paying?+

Your published rule books stay online and you can export everything. Editing pauses until you subscribe again.

    Is there spell checking?+

Your browser's spell checker works in the editor today. Built-in spelling and grammar checking is on the way.
